About the Position

The NCPC is currently seeking a person (or persons) to help expand our horizons in reaching out to new funding sources. Additional duties would entail organizing fund campaigns, mapping out strategies, and researching possible foundation and government entities in alignment with our Mission. The ideal candidate would be familiar with the NCPC and the goals of the Dance For All People, and have previous fundraising experience. Creativity, passion, and thinking differently are a must! Compensation is by commission, to be determined.

Proposed Duties

• Design and Implement a Major Donor Annual Fund Campaign — brainstorm prospects for major donor gifts, learn about what they like to fund, and cultivate their interest in supporting NCPC

• Map Out Newsletter Campaign Strategies— develop a Newsletter schedule for the year detailing how many times a year, timeline schedules for writing, board scrutiny & approval, layout & graphic design, tweaking stage, printing and/or emailing.

• Research foundations and government entities as possible grant sources — cultivate interest, learn guidelines, develop an approach which would be fundable by them, write the grant

• Coordinate Special Campaigns— develop other campaigns such as auctions and other special events (also creating timelines); seek inkind gifts (such as airline miles, etc.); develop other campaign ideas and other outreach plans

• Seek Out Education of Non-profit Fundraising Strategies— research the latest non-profit fundraising techniques to help broaden NCPC horizons; seek out consultation from other persons in non-profit who may have ideas and suggestions for NCPC

• Develop New Fundraising Strategies— implement new fundraising strategies to broaden the outreach beyond the Naraya Dancer community

• Supply Timely NCPC Info— create news releases and updated info on Projects to help facilitate the timely update of the web site at least once per calendar quarter or on an as-needed basis.

Note: It is possible that some of these roles could be done by a variety of people, so this “job description” could be for a Fundraising Team who coordinate the efforts together.
