About the Community Access Project

The NCPC has supported many projects at the Fort Hall Reservation through the Community Access Program, including clothing drives, a Mural Project for reservation youth, and the donation of Christmas gifts through the Salt Lake Dance Community.

NCPC has found a way in which the members of local communities, no matter what their economic situation, can give clothing and books that honors the tradition of "give back". Since 2005 NCPC has sponsored a successful clothing drive. All of the dance communities from around the country get together and donate much-needed winter clothing to the program.

Winter Coat Drive 2011

Clothing DriveThe NCPC has yet again organized a Winter Coat Drive for the Native people of the Fort Hall Indian Reservation through the Community Access Program of the Shoshone Bannock Tribes. Winters in Idaho are no joke my friends, and many good-hearted folks here are very grateful for our gener- ous and thoughtful efforts. Coats donated need to be children to adult sizes with a special emphasis on “tribal size” XL-XXL-XXXL! All items must be clean and usable. Warm hats, gloves, blankets and mittens are welcomed. Please tell friends and family in your community about this program who you think would be interested in assisting with this endeavor!
